The 48 is a special item from the garage of HD. The all new 2014 version is mated with new closed loop exhaust system, which ensures better performance and environment friendly atmosphere. On the other hand, the new variant features a new color, stronger brakes and more comfortable hand controls. The bike is still powered by the same 1202cc, Air-cooled engine delivering 95 NM @3500 RPM of torque mated to a 5-speed transmission.

The Forty-Eight is never designed to be less than its signature bulldog stance. The very mature and powerful 1200cc Evolution engine acts as the powerhouse of this iconic motorcycle. The Harley Davison badging is clearly worn on the big fuel tank of this machine and completes the entire design cues of the big fuel tank equipped motorcycle,
The Air-cooled 1,202 cc Evolution engine born out from the legendary engines of the past from the Harley Davison factory is proven very reliable over the course of time. The new Evolution engine uses Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) as its fuel system. The engine produces an enormous torque of 96 Nm @ 4,250 rpm. The engine is very responsive at lower speeds and rumbles with the signature Harley Davion exhaust note.
The exhaust is Chrome plated with staggered shorty exhaust with black dual mufflers. The brakes of the Forty-Eight is handled with Dual-piston at the front and Dual-piston at the rear. While the suspension setup is done with a large 49mm front fork, along with an adjustable rear suspension at the rear.The ground clearance of the Forty-Eight comes at 110 mm while the seat height comes at 710 mm. The overall weight of the motorcycle is 252 kg.
