Bajaj Avenger Street 150 is the cheapest cruiser available in India. It was launched in 2001, featuring 180cc DTS-i engine used in the Pulsar 180. Moreover, Avenger was inspired from the Kawasaki Eliminator, claimed to be the first cruiser bike to be developed by an Indian brand. The Avenger Street 150 is the latest offering from the Avenger family, featuring 150cc, Triple Spark engine mated with a 5-speed gearbox to deliver a maximum power of 14.3 bhp @ 9000 rpm and peak torque of 12.5 Nm @ 6500 rpm. This cruiser bike has a top speed of 110 kmph, which will be handy for highway cruising.

The Avenger Street 150 shares features like street control handlebar, alloy wheels, digital instrument display, wide rear tyres and low slung saddle with its elder sibling the Street 220. It is available at a starting price of Rs 79,987.

Crusie 220

Avenger Street 220 is the replacement of Avenger 200 DTS-i. It is powered by Twin Spark 220cc engine with digital twin spark ignition delivering a maximum power of 19 bhp @ 8400 rpm and peak torque of 17.5 Nm @ 7000 rpm. The Crusie 220 is a special edition of Street 220 with a large transparent windscreen and desert gold paint scheme featuring the same engine and other mechanical outfits. Both the Street and Crusie 220 is available at a pricing of Rs 88,332.

Actually, Thunderbird is a blend of cruiser and retro classic motorcycle. It does have those street control handlebars and well-cushioned split saddle that suit cruising. However, the offering shares a majority of its styling features from the iconic models of the Enfield family such as Bullet and Classic. It was launched in 2000 with an AVL lean burn and 5-speed gearbox. In 2009, the brand decides to replace the semi-unit engine with 346cc Unit Construction Engine (UCE) along with the Classic and Bullet 350. This 346cc, single cylinder, 4 stroke, Twinspark, air cooled engine is mated with 5-speed manual gearbox delivering a maximum power of 19.8 bhp @ 5250 rpm and peak torque of 28 Nm @ 4000 rpm. It is the only 350cc motorcycle in the Enfield clan with projector headlamps, LED tail light, rear disc brake, trip meter, fuel gauge, digital console and teardrop shaped fuel tank. The Thunderbird 500 was the flagship model of the Royal Enfield until they launched the much popular Continental GT in India. The TB 500 is based on the same platform of TB 350 featuring the same tubular chassis, front telescopic fork, twin gas charged rear shock, 20-litre fuel tank, 5-speed gearbox and disc brake at both the ends. However, this cruiser is powered by 499cc, single cylinder, spark ignition, air-cooled engine with fuel injection found in the Desert Storm and Bullet 500. The engine delivers a massive 27.2 bhp @ 5250 rpm and peak torque of 41.3 Nm @ 4000 rpm. The model is priced at Rs 1,88,000.


UM Renegade Commando

UM or United Motors is an American motorcycle manufacturer who now sells their models in India with the partnership of Lohia Motors from 2016. Commando is the flagship model of the brand in India. It is powered by 279.5cc, single cylinder, liquid-cooled engine delivering a maximum power of 24.8 bhp and top torque of 23 Nm mated with 6-speed manual gearbox. The bike also features digital-analog instrument display, wider rear tyres and USB charging socket. The Renegade Commando is available at a pricing of Rs 164000.

Sports S

The Sport S is the cheaper version of Renegade Commando with some cosmetic changes. Here, a black headlamp cowl covers the whole headlight unit acts as semi windscreen. The cruiser kind of handlebar is replaced by raised flat handlebar to enhance its sporty character. It uses the same 279.5cc, single cylinder engine delivering the same amount of power and torque figures. The model is priced at Rs 157000.


Hyosung Aquila 250

Aquila 250

The Aquila 250 is the cheapest V-Twin motorcycle available in India. It is available as a CKD unit and assembled at the DSK facility in Pune. The engine delivers a maximum power of 26.3 bhp @ 9500 rpm and peak torque of 21 Nm @ 7500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and uses chain driven power transmission. The Aquila 250 is priced at Rs 284000.
