Hero Super Splendor, the powerful two-wheeler in the Splendor series. The bike was born in 2005. Coupled with a 124.7cc, 4 Stroke OHC, Single cylinder, air cooled engine, the machine turns extra brilliant while commuting. The bike brings out stunning power of 9 BHP @ 7000 rpm and gorgeous torque of 10.35 Nm @ 4000 rpm. It is mated with a 4 speed gear transmission. The machine fatures electric start which is mandatory. The bi-wheeler is packed with impressive graphics and wind shield. It has alloy wheel too. However, there is no front disc brake provided. The bike ensure an overall mileage around 65 kmpl.
Hero MotoCorp launched their Super Splendor with i3S feature on February 2017. The main attraction of this model is Hero's own i3S Smart technology. Hero has been using this technology in almost every commuters they have launched. The new Super Splendor looks identical to the standard Super Splendor and the only change happens to be the i3S badge and i3S switch.
This 125cc, commuter gets alloy wheels and self-start, which can be found in the previous Splendor as well. The same 124.7cc air cooled mill drives the bike with a 4-speed constant mesh gearbox for optimum power transfer. And the new i3S technology features Idle Stop Start System, which helps in increasing the mileage of the vehicle. The system works by killing the engine ignition, when the bike is at idle for more than 5 seconds. And the engine will come back to life again when we press the clutch lever. This system will be handy on traffic signals and city traffic jams. The i3S switch is placed along the right hand side of the handlebar just above the electric push start button. Moreover, it also gets Automatic Headlamp On feature with this new technology on board

The Engine and Performance
Instead of using the familiar 100cc engine, Super Splendor gets 125cc powertrain with a 4-speed conventional gearbox. The mill delivers a maximum power of 9 bhp @ 7000 rpm and peak torque of 10.35 Nm @ 4000 rpm. The model has been known for its fuel efficiency and durable engine. Moreover, it is one of the maintenance-free engines of the country. The bike is built for day to day, comfortable rides in the cities. Still, the Splendor manages to have a top speed of 95 kmph.
Design and Features
Unlike the basic styling of younger Splendor, the super Splendor gets many of its features adopted from the Passion variant. The shape of the headlamp has been replaced with new triangular one with a slightly larger windscreen. Moreover, it gets Always Headlamp On feature (AHO) as a part of the BS4 norms. The super Splendor gets graphics on the fuel tank and body panels. It is available in 5 different colours of which 3 dual tone options. This motorcycle gets body coloured rear view mirrors and same comfortable saddle. The bike weighs 121 kg and can hold 13 litres of petrol on its fuel tank.
Chassis, Braking and Suspension
This two-wheeler features tubular double cradle type chassis which is found in almost all the commuters of Hero MotoCorp. The braking duties of the model are handled by 130 mm internal expanding type brakes at both the ends. It also gets telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers at the front and rectangular swing arm with 5-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. These are the standard suspension to meet the Indian road conditions.

The popular Splendor clan is very important for the Hero brand from the times of Hero Honda itself.
