Avenger 180 DTS-i is the first cruiser motorcycle from the Bajaj Auto Ltd inspired from the very famous Kawasaki Eliminator. This motorcycle was launched in India from the year 2005. Basically in order to gain widespread market in India Bajaj engineers had replaced the Kawasaki engine with an under-powered Bajaj 180 DTS-i engine.

This motorcycle sits on a 178.6 cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, single cylinder engine which uses OHC system. Engine delivers 16.5 bhp of maximum power @ 8000 rpm and a peak torque of 15.2 Nm @ 6000 rpm. Engine is mated with a 5-speed gear box unit which uses a chain drive for transmitting the power to rear wheels. From the Kawasaki engine, this one is tuned to generate more torque.

Front suspension features a telescopic forks while rear part have a 5-way adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers. It has a 260 mm single disc at the front and 180 mm drum brake at the rear. The wheelbase of this cruiser is 1475 mm and it has a fuel tank having capacity of 14 litres. Avenger 180 has a mileage of 45 kmpl.

u know what Avenger 180 is far better than 220 or any other bikes , m using it and not willing to sell it. nothing can replace this ghost.

I'm using this bike for last year & half.
But I agree with Akash Salunkhe the only problem is wit its spares. Actually I'm Really happy with its performance but now a days if I go tp my mech'k he also raises his hands " Seth kuch nahi ho sakata ."
