The details of the launch has come from the mouth of the man himself, Rajiv Bajaj, Head of Bajaj Auto, who had earlier spoken about the launch of the Pulsar RS200 to happen in the first quarter of 2015 itself. As if in a confirmation to his previous statements, the RS 200 is all set to be launched this month itself.
The bike gets a 200 cc engine with the fuel-injection technology which has been designed to churn out a maximum power of 25 bhp at 10000 rpm along with a maximum torque of 19.3 Nm at 8500 rpm. The bike has a great resemblance to the SS400 that had been revealed at the Auto Expo held in 2014. The new features on the bike include a stylish new fascia with day time running LEDs, which render a sharp and stunning look to the bike.
On the side profile, the RS 200 looks a bit on the bulkier side when compared to the 200 NS and sports a catchy exhaust, along with major highlights of the bike being the rear end LED tail lamps.
Prior to the launch of this anticipated bike, the dealers of Bajaj Auto Ltd across India have already began to accept orders for the upcoming bike. The booking charges stand at Rs 5,000, while the actual price of the bike is estimated to be around Rs 1.3 lakhs (ex-showroom).
