The 2016 Honda CBR500R is one of Japanese sport bike makers from the middleweight category. The bike is a perfect example of what a middleweight sport bike should be, a feature that makes it popular in its class. It has some fantastic bodywork, plenty of sophisticated features, powerful engine and an excellent performance. For 2016, the CBR500R gets new, aggressive styling with new LED dual headlights and numerous refinements. Just like other Honda models, it is equipped with a full LCD screen that features trip meter, clock, illuminated engine diagnostic indicators, odometer, and real time and average time fuel consumption meters. Its rear shock offers nine-stage preload of spring adjustability for a complete ride over both small and bigger bumps. The instrumentation is relatively advance with a digital bar graph tachometer and speedometer.
The bike`s engine is powered with 471cc twin parallel liquid cooled engine that gives enough power for almost everyone. Its riding is smooth and the response is excellent in every rpm range. Just like other Honda bikes, it offers a flat torque curve for the constant power output without any lags; a feature that makes it easy to handle and pleasant for ride. Thanks to Honda`s programmed fuel injection and great short-shifting 6-speed transmission, the 2016 Honda CBR 500R rides very smooth and is capable for almost all styles of ride. Alongside the CBR500R on the show floor, Honda will display many models from its 2016 line-up of motorcycles, side-by-sides and ATVs. No official price list of the motor bike has been released, but since the previous model was priced around ₹3-4 Lakhs the new model shouldn’t vary from this range.
With DNA taken from the premier CBR1000RR, the CBR500R is aimed at an entry-level for enthusiasts.
