As we reported earlier, well known off-road and sports bike manufacturer, KTM confirmed that the consortium would introduce the Duke 390 and the 1190 Super Duke at the 70th International Motorcycle Exhibition (EICMA), which will be taken place between 15th-18th November 2012, at Milan, Italy.
Confirming the launch of the Duke 390, KTM has already uploaded a sound-video clip of the motorcycle. Generally, KTM aims Indian customers with its launch as it is specially designed for Indian roads. More joyfully, it will be manufactured at Bajaj's two wheeler plant at Chakan plant, in Pune. And the export procedure to other countries worldwide will take place from here only
Leaks suspect that the Duke 390 will be rolling out with a fuel-injected 375cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. With a power of enormous 45 hp, the machine would be an excellent synonym of velocity. The top speed of the Duke 390 is 160 kmph. The bike is expected to be showcased at the coming New Delhi Auto Expo.
Meanwhile, rumours predict on KTM's upcoming two wheeler, the 1190 Super Duke. The street fighter will share the engine with KTM 1190 Adventure. The 1190 Adventure is run by a 2-cylinder, 4-stroke, spark-ignition, 75° V arrangement, liquid-cooled engine. It is powered by maximum power of 148 hp.
Additionally Bajaj also confirmed about its upcoming model, the Pulsar 375. With the launch of both motorcycles, the Indian two wheeler market will witness a strong competition. Moreover, moto maniacs will have another time to cherish on it. Bajaj hasn't officially noticed whether its upcoming Pulsar 375 would be sharing Duke 390's engine. Earlier Bajaj had bought 47% of stake of the Austrian company.
