The Scramblers have always been a thing of interest among motorcycles enthusiasts. Back in the good old days, riders used to customise their motorcycle to conquer the mighty Californian desert. These rugged motorcycles or scramblers came with engine protection plates, enduro capabilities and rugged design styles. This timeless design concept from the desert relives in the new Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0
The Mach 2.0 is made in collaboration with the famous Californian designer Roland Sands, the Scrambler Mach 2.0 is inspired by the Bell Cross Idol helmet of the 2017 Scrambler clothing collection, whereby he takes the colors that have a remissness of the universe and the atmospheres of the west coast of the United States in the 70s. The heritage and influence of this Scrambler are from the allusion to the Mach 1250 that marked the history of Ducati and motorcycling in the 60s.
A very careful attention to detail has been carefully integrated into this Scrambler. The Scrambler Mach 2.0 is equipped with a low aluminium variable section handlebar, a very dedicated Flat Track Pro saddle. The exhaust cover and black cylinder heads, and brushed legs are inspired by the Café Racers.
Under the belly of the Mach 2.0 is a very big 803cc Twin cylinder, Desmodromic distribution 2 valves per cylinder, air cooling engine. This Scrambler has the capacity to produce a maximum power of 73 hp @ 8,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 67 Nm @ 5,750 rpm. Ducati uses Electronic injection, with 50 mm flanged bodies as its fuel injection system. A Tubular steel mesh frame is used in the making of the bike with 41mm Kayaba inverted fork as its front suspension.
While the rear suspension is done with Kayaba shock absorber with pre-charge adjustment. The front brakes of this Ducati Scrambler is a 330 mm disc; 4-piston calipers with radial mounting while the rear brakes are a 245 mm disc with 1 piston floating caliper. Both the front and rear comes with ABS as standard. This Scrambler has an overall dry weight of 170 kg.
