Benelli Tornado 302R Will Officially Launch In India On 25th July 2017

First showcased at 2016 Auto Expo, DSK-Benelli will launch the Benelli Tornado 302 in India on July 25th of 2017. This is the first fully-faired motorcycle introduced by Benelli in India and the bike is powered by a 300 cc Liquid cooled 4-stroke, 4 valve DOHC Inline-2 engine. The mill produces a maximum power of 35 bhp at 12,000 rpm and a peak torque of 27 Nm at 9,000 rpm. The motorcycle is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and is built on a steel trestle frame to improve the handling and overall riding experience.



The Benelli 302R shares the same DNA of the TNT 300 platform. The suspension work of this beast is carried out in the front by a 41 mm upside down fork which has a 120 mm travel, while the rear side suspension is done via swingarm with a travel of 45 mm.



This new offering from Benelli showcases good features along with an adjustable rear mono-shock, inverted front forks and a sporty look design characteristics. The bike comes with dual-disc brakes of 260 mm with 4 piston callipers in the front and a single disc of 240 mm with 1 floating piston calliper at the rear. Front tyre size comes at 110/70-ZR17 while the rear gets 150/60-ZR17. The fuel tank capacity of this bike is at 14-litres while the engine oil capacity is 4 litres.

When officially launched the Benelli 302R will take on competitors like the KTM RC390, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the Yamaha YZF-R3. Bookings for this motorcycle has been opened at authorised Benelli dealers across India and the bike is expected to be in the price range of INR 3.5 lakhs.
