Mahindra GUSTO: The Global scooter first to be launched in India

Mahindra has officially announced the launch of its new scooter GUSTO on September. The new scooter is stylized completely in Italy. GUSTO is defined as a global scooter by the company.



Scooter will be available in northern and western India in the beginning. It is set to be launched in rest of India, South Asia, Africa and Latin America within a few months. Powered by an M-TEC engine, Gusto has many advanced features coming along with it.



While introducing the new product for public, Rajesh Jejurikar, Chief Executive – Farm Equipment & Two Wheeler Division & Member of the Group Executive Board said, “We are set to introduce our new global scooter called GUSTO, created at our state-of-the-art R&D facility in Pune. The name GUSTO is a derivative of 'gust’ which connotes a sudden strong current of wind, symbolizing the spirit of freedom. GUSTO comes with an all Aluminium M-TEC engine with advanced features such as stronger crankshaft and bearings, high inertia magneto, high energy HT coil and series regulator to deliver superior power, efficiency and reliability.”

Gusto will be arriving with 110cc engine. Launch in northern and western India is scheduled on September 29. Expected price in Indian market is around Rs.40,000 to Rs.50,000.
