Suzuki to Launch GSX150R in 2014

Following the successful path of Honda CBR 150R, and Yamaha YZF R15, Suzuki is in the final touch to launch its entry level sports machine, the GXR150R. The bike is expected to be launched in the next year. Still, it's uncertain whether the bike will be unveiled at the 2014 Motor Show, at Noida.



According to the leaks, the GSX150R will a fully-faired motorcycle, which will share a lot to its elder siblings in design and features. The machine will be powered by a 150cc heart. It's expected that the upcoming GSX150R will be using the tuned-up engine of the GS 150R, which is coupled with a 149.5cc, Air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC engine. It delivers a peak power of 13.8 bhp @ 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 13.4 Nm @ 6,000 rpm, which are not enough to challenge both the R15 and the CBR 150R. So it's for sure that Suzuki will mate a tuned-up performing heart for its Gixxer baby.



Suzuki has been struggling to sell out their products. The firm is not meeting the expected units except for the Access 125, which has already become a mass seller for the company. Unfortunately, the other machines couldn't grab the attention of the customers. And with the launch of the GSX150R, the firm hopes a twist in the sale.
