Piaggio Typhoon 150 to be Launched in India Soon

Incidences occurring nearby resemblance that the Indian two wheeler market is a perfect suit for the Italian motorcycle and scooter manufacturer, Piaggio. At first, Vespa opened their account in the Indian two wheeler industry with the Vespa brand. Then introduced Aprilla and recently Moto Guzzi as well. Now sources scroll that Piaggio is on their way to launch the Typhoon 150.

Piaggio Typhoon 150 will be the first Indian scooter to be mated with MPFI (multi-point fuel-injection) technology once it's launched. The Typhoon 150's variants are sold as the Typhoon 50 and the Typhoon 125 in US, Europe and the other global markets. The scooter is certainly a new trend which is specially crafted for the Indian customers who love performance and mileage efficient machines.



The 150 cc, Single-cylinder, four-stroke Piaggio LEADER engine used in the Typhoon 150 is borrowed from Piaggio's own Fly 150. The scooter is capable to produce a maximum power of 11.4 bhp at 7750 rpm and a maximum torque of 11.5 Nm at 6000 rpm. The expected top speed of the Typhoon 150 is 98 kmph. Sources remark a mileage around 35 kmpl for this sporty species scooter.

A 220mm disc brake with dual-piston floating caliper mounted at the front wheel, a moped way of looks, couple of fatter 12 inch tires, sporty dual headlamp and fabulously placed indicators stand out the Typhoon 150 from other scooters. Alike the Typhoon 125, the Typhoon 150 will also be refreshed with Hydraulic telescopic fork suspension with straight stanchions at front and Hydraulic single shock absorber with spring preload suspension at rear. However, the scooter maniacs are requested to patiently wait for the launch of the Indian scooter giant.
