1) Ducati Superleggera 1299: Priced From Rs 1.12 Crore

Ducati developed this super hot motorcycle under the covers of "Project 1408". Ducati unveiled this model at the past EICMA 2016 exhibition. It is the most expensive and desired motorcycle that Italian giants have ever made. This flagship model comes up with some staggering figures like 215 bhp, 146.5 Nm torque and above all an enormous price tag of Rs 1.12 crore (ex-showroom New Delhi). It happens to be the most powerful twin-cylinder production bike, Ducati has ever produced. Interestingly, Ducati has made only 500 units of Superleggera for the global market.

1299 is powered by the mighty 1285cc, Superquadro, L-twin, desmodromic, liquid cooled engine with Mitsubishi electronic fuel injection system. The engine is mated with 6-speed transmission box with Ducati Quick Shift (DQS). The bike is built on a monocoque chassis in carbon fiber, which has massively reduced the weight of Ducati. It also gets a Titanium racing exhaust for much-improved performance on and off the track. This superbike features all advanced electronic aids and Ducati's own innovations.


2) Kawasaki Ninja H2R: Priced From Rs 70.83 Lakhs

Kawasaki claims Ninja H2R as the only Hypersport motorcycle in the world. This engineering marvel looks like something from out of the space. Like Superleggera 1299, this motorcycle is also studded with carbon fiber. The power output of the supercharged Ninja H2R comes from finely tuned and carefully crafted high-quality components like centrifugal type supercharger, supercharger impeller, planetary gear and a mighty engine.

H2R is powered by the 998cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke inline four engine, which delivers a maximum power of 310 bhp and 156 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated with 6-speed gearbox and the top speed of this bike is around 330 to 350kmph. The bike sits on high-tensile steel trellis frame, which provides the rigidity and dynamics for the bike. The advanced electronics of Ninja H2R includes features like; Bosch IMU, Kawasaki Traction Control, Kawasaki Launch Control, Quick Shifter, ABS and Engine Brake Control systems. The key ingredient of this bike is the Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK championship proven electronic management technology.


3)Ducati 1299 Panigale R Final Edition: Priced From Rs 59.18 Lakhs

As the name suggests this particular model marks the end of iconic twin cylinder bikes of the Ducati. This new 1299 Panigale R Final Edition combines the mighty 1299 Superleggera, Panigale R and Panigale 1299. The powertrain of R Final Edition has been borrowed from the Superleggera. However, the mill just churns out a maximum power of 209.4 bhp @ 11000 rpm and a peak torque of 142 Nm @ 9000 rpm. This engine is teamed up with 6-speed gearbox with Ducati Qucik Shift technology for precise shifting. The lightweight aluminium chassis has been taken from the Panigale R. It also gets fully adjustable Ohlins TTX36 monoshock suspension with adjustable steering damper at the rear and the Ohlins 43mm NIX 30 USD forks at the front, Brembo calipers and brakes, 3-spoked forged alloy wheels and Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres at both the ends.

The bike is painted in brand new Tricolore featuring all the three colours of Italian flag. For the time being the Ducati 1299 Panigale R Final Edition is not a limited edition model, which may tagged as collectors item in the future.

The bike sits on 998cc, four cylinders, 4-stroke engine with 16 valves. This mighty mill delivers a maximum power of 212 bhp @ 13600 rpm and a peak torque of 115 Nm @ 9300 rpm. I'm planning to upgrade from my Panigale 959. I am head over heels in love with the design of Ninja H2R and badly want to buy it. But considering that I am already accustomed to the Ducati experience, will the Panigale R Final Edition be a better option for me?
