The all new scooter, Ray comes with a 113cc, Air cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC,2-valve, Single cylinder. It is powered by a maximum output of 7.1PS power at 7500rpm and maximum torque of 8.1Nm at 5000rpm. The scooter is priced at Rs. 46,000 (ex-showroom New Delhi), which is exactly a reasonable and competitive tag. IYM claims that the Ray is best in its class comparing, power, engine displacement and mileage to its rivals. The Ray is expected to provide an economy of 45 kmpl.
Yamaha's vision is transparent that is to target young girls and families where every members use scooters to travel. Yamaha plans to sell 1 million units by 2014 and 2 million by 2016. It is certain that the new launch would wave hearts of many youngsters in the country.
