Indian Motorcycles To Start Assembly Unit In India

Polaris owned Indian Motorcycles will soon start their assembly unit in India via CKD route

The leading American ATV manufacturer, Polaris has decided to start the assembly of their subsidiary, Indian Motorcycles on Indian shores. This legendary motorcycle brand is currently owned by Polaris, plans to assemble bikes in India via CKD route. Even though the bike has a rich history and heritage, it is still an under rated motorcycle. It is one engineering masterpiece with their gorgeous-imposing looks, which could stole anyone's heart right away.



India has been emerged as one of the busiest and leading automobile hub. Many big motorcycle and car manufacturers had set up their plants here in India. The number of premium motorcycles sold here itself has risen to a great number from the past days and many brands even started to export the products to other international markets as well. The company targets the market and sales figures of Harley Davidson and really wants to put out a real fight on it.

By setting up an assembly unit in India, they targets to promote the brand in India and other South Asian countries. Indian Motorcycles will be looking at the Polaris Jaipur facility, which has an annual capacity of 60,000 units.

Last year Polaris ceased the operations of their other subsidiary, Victory motorcycles to concentrate more on the Indian Motorcycles. They had aslo plans to channel the finance onto Indian Motorcycles.
