Brand new sports bikes hits the Indian market as KTM, the Austrian brand along with Bajaj orchestrates the perfect symphony for the roadies here. Introducing the RC 200 and RC 390 at an affordable price level KTM has certainly revolutionized the current bike market scenario in India. The motor Duo follows the lead of Duke 200 and Duke 390 respectively. Though there are speculations about introductory prices rising in the future, the market price of RC200 is Rs.1.60 lakh And RC 390 is Rs.2.05 lakh (both prices are ex –showroom Delhi).
Angular designs and aggressive looks steal the show on a first look, adding to the super sports tag of these bikes. Design specifically targets the rider style, focusing more on the thrill part. The RC 200 is equipped with 4-stroke, single cylinder, liquid cooled 199.2 cc mill much like Duke 200.
RC 390, the sportier one gets a 4 stroke, single cylinder, liquid cooled 373.2 cc engine with 43.5 PS of power and 35Nm of torque from the Duke 390. Both the bikes have a 6-speed Gear box, but RC 390gets an ABS standard which RC 200 doesn't.
A higher tail line, orange painted alloy wheels and dual projector headlights are some of the other delicious components. To add to the overall enthusiasm, KTM has also planned to organize an “orange day” on race tracks all over the country along with touring expeditions for not-so-racy customers. RC 390 is being introduced in competition with Honda CBR250R and Kawasaki Ninja 300. Much is being anticipated over the performance of this Motor Duo.
