Harley Davidson Owners Protesting Outside Kochi Showroom

Protest against false promises and bad service by Harley Davidson technicians.

Photos of Harley Davidson bikers protesting outside Kochi Showroom against bad after sales service.

One of the posters says,

"Attention... Harley Davidson Fans"
I am a two wheeler motor bike, recently launched in India, under my family name Harley Davidson; my owners has purchased me by spending several lakhs of their hard-earned money and as i was sold. My manufacturers and authorized dealers provided my owners with a two year warranty, But from the date of purchase till present date, I am not working properly and my several parts and components fail on a regular basis. The dealers and service teams are not properly repairing me. There by cheating my owner with false warranty claims. For simple maintenance reason they are keeping me in their workshops for months. My owner cant consistently use me for a long duration due to mechanical defects that I cause them. The dealer does not have any qualified technician to repair me according to international company standards. I am worried about the safety of my owners, whether I can ride without the risk of error or mechanical failure.

I humbly request my dealers not to cheap/trap another customer like you have done with 150 existing Harley owners.

Please do not blame each other .think what better can be done.harley davidson should have a customer focused marketing chain in india to identify the expencive services which the bike cause and think to reduce that service charge by some means .

Puncture fix for Harley cost less than Rs 1000 at the dealership,as per the service center bill for puncture done for my friend's 48, as the protest done is for some riding club related issues ,they have sort it out ,but damage has already been done .

When you spend and buy the expensive bike, its is must to give service and satisfy the customers , those who do not protest against , if they dont get service are fools , either they dont know , or they dont have time for this prety matters to go to them and spend their worthy time for nothing , the good lesson now for the customers who wants to buy is they are not going to buy this bike , even tho they are fans for hardley davidson , i my self was going to own one , but i thinks my dreams are getting shattered coz , b4 i always think to own onw but now since there is showroom n services in India , i was just thinking to own one but nw no way , if they are going to treat customers in this way,
thanks

@Sidharth : What's your ride bro?. A harley!!!
By Ash on 05-12-2013
So Mr.Sidharth works for Harley...!
Do you think this will happen to Benz, Audi, BMW..?
This is purely because Harley doesn't know how to design or adapt its motorcycles for indian conditions. Full stop. They don't even have a switch to turn OFF the headlight on the Fatboy.

@Sidharth : Who told you that there were only five Harley bikers there? There were lot many in front of the showroom. And how can you justify the service charge of 10,000 Rs for a puncture repair?
By Jibin Johnson on 05-12-2013
How come only 5 owners are having this issue.??? How about other 145 customers??? they are not having ny problems and they dint act in this protest. Evry automobiles are having faults.. Even if u buy a Ferari they will b having service issues... Coz these are not meant for Indian roads. and dealers are not fools to keep bikes in service for a month. I think this is purely an ego problem and Show off by some filthy rich ppl.
By Sidharth on 05-12-2013
Ten thounsand rupees for repairing a tyre puncture? With what substance do you fix the puncture? Too much...
By Vinod P on 05-12-2013
Sad that big multinational companies like Harley Davidson is treating its customers like this.
By Sridhar on 04-12-2013
