Avantura Choppers: The First Indian Chopper Motorcycle Brand

Avantura Choppers are all set for their official entrance to the Indian premises. The brand is to become the first and only chopper motorcycle brand of the country featuring high capacity, 2000cc, S&S V-Twin engines from America. This exquisite motorcycle brand was founded by Gaurav Aggarwal, who is assisted by Vijay Singh (co-founder & chief revenue officer) and Kevin Alsop (chief design engineer) based in Mumbai.



Initially, the company will offer two models within the price range of 25 to 20 lakhs. It is expected to start their business from early 2018 as they are waiting for the approvals from ARAI in the following months. It took 7 years for the makers to overturn this research model to a saleable product. Moreover, they already started staff training and other related preparation works at the backstage for an official entry to the Indian motorcycle market. They are planning to set up dealerships at Delhi and Mumbai in their initial plans and to expand later.



Interestingly, the company will bring a handful of brands like S&S, Rivera Transmission, Avon Tyres, Progressive Suspension, Beringer, Mustang seats and Kellermann to India. Apart from these, a lot more other components are sourced from the local OEMs. Avantura Choppers targets 7 to 8 percent market share of the 1600cc motorcycle market in India by 2022. The production facility will be at Vasai in Maharashtra.
