Yamaha has geared up again for a run in the motorcycle business with the launch of their new fully faired motorcycle Fazer 25 in India. Unlike the old semi-faired version of the 150cc Fazer, the newly made Fazer 25 comes with a fully-front fairing with bright LED daytime lamps and showcase a new design and aesthetics. Yamaha has done some changes to the entire design aspects of this motorcycle to provide more riding comfort and pleasure. The newly designed front fairing is evident that the company has focused more on the aerodynamics and riding comfort of this motorcycle.
Yamaha did a design revamp but hasn't changed anything in the mechanical department and thus the new Fazer 25 basically stays as a cosmetic update of its recently launched naked sibling. Yet, a new LED daytime positioning lamps, revamped body design and full front fairing make the Fazer 25 unique.
The new Fazer is powered by the same 250cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine powered by the FZ 25. The engine has the ability to produce 20.6 bhp of power @ 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 20Nm @ 6,000rpm. This motorcycle is mated to a five-speed gearbox and comes with an additional oil-cooler for much-improved heat dissipation. The company has provided fuel injection system in this bike to yield more fuel efficiency and maximum power.
The Fazer 25 sits on a diamond type frame accompanied with a mono-shock rear suspension and 41mm telescopic forks up front for better riding comfort. Yamaha has provided big 140/70 tubeless tyres at the rear and 100/80 section tyre at the front while the braking is done with disc brakes which come on both the front and the rear. The company has made this bike to be ideal for commuting as well as for occasional long rides.
Bookings for the new Fazer 25 has already started and the company is expecting to eat the sales shares of the bikes like the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 and the likes in the same price segment.
The new Fazer 25 showcase a full-front fairing and is priced at Rs 1.28 Lakhs
