India's fastest growing automobile manufacturer, Mahindra and Mahindra plans to launch an electric version of its much successful sedan, Verito within 2 years. M&M had already uploaded the electric model of Verito in the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo this January. But recently, Mahindra upgraded that variant of Verito and launched the all new version of it. So the electric Verito is expected to come with a new face.
Mr. Chetan Maini, Chief Technology Officer of Mahindra Reva said, "Mahindra Reva is the electric car manufacturer from the stable of the $15.4 billion conglomerate Mahindra & Mahindra. We have proved that electric versions of utility vehicles Bolero and Scorpio are technologically feasible. We have developed electric options of light trucks Maxximo and Geo."
Two years ago Mahindra used to acquire Reva. And expertise Reva's presence in this hybrid technology can certainly develop the technical necessities of Electric Verito. Replacing the conventional engine, the vehicle is equipped with a 29 KW AC motor. The electric variant never fails to provide all the features which are in the existing Verito. Passengers can feel its strength, class-leading interior space, build quality, safety features and easy handling. The zero-emission vehicle also comes with a clutch free system. Mahindra ensures that a full charge can run the car upto 100kms.
