Complete details of Scrambler Icon Motorcycle

Launched in India in September 2014.

Scrambler Icon is available as a (CBU) unit in India. It is imported from Thailand. Icon is one of the available model in India under the Scrambler badge. It is powered by 803cc air-cooled, twin-cylinder engine. The mill delivers 75bhp of maximum power @ 8250 rpm and a peak torque of 68Nm @ 5759 rpm. It then uses 6-speed gearbox to deliver power to the rear wheels using chain drive. It is characterised by its comfortable riding position and steel teardrop tank with interchangeable aluminium side panels.

This Scrambler Icon uses 790mm seat height, which ensures supreme riding position and comfort for both rider and passenger. Some of the features include wide handlebar, an underseat USB charging socket, headlight with glass lens, LED guide-light and dual sport wheels. In addition to that, aluminium finished covers are used for belt covers and the heat guard.

Braking duties of the bike is undertaken by 330mm disc at the front and 245mm disc at the rear. ABS system comes as a standard feature in this model. An upside down Kayaba 41mm fork is used at the front and kayaba rear shock absorber with preload is used at the rear as suspension system. 18-inch 10 spoke alloy wheels at the front and 17-inch alloy wheels at the rear is used for superior road control. The Icon is available in 62 Yellow, Ducati Red and Silver Ice.

The customisation ranges from 500cc motorcycles and used suspension setup with more travel, rigid spoke wheels, engine protection plates and big block tyres to tackle the harshest environmental conditions.

The Scrambler Icon, born from the factories of Ducati, pays homage to the legendary Scramblers that represented the passion and vigour shown by the motorcycle enthusiasts of the past.

An 803cc L-Twin, Desmodromic distribution, 2 valves per cylinder, Air cooled engine and the engine produces a maximum power of 73 hp @ 8,250 rpm and a torque of 67 Nm torque @ 5,750 rpm. The engine makes use of Electronic fuel injection with 50 mm throttle body as its fuel system. The motorcycle complies to the latest Euro 4 emission standards.

A Tubular steel Trellis frame forms the backbone of this Scrambler. An Upside-down Kayaba fork with 41 mm travel is used in the front suspension setup while the rear suspension comes with Kayaba rear shock, pre-load and rebound adjustable. with an Aluminium made double-sided swingarm. To make any road or terrain impact within the limits of the motorcycle, Ducati has given Pirelli MT 60 RS as stock in this motorcycle. A braking system with 330 mm disc and a radial 4-piston calliper with ABS as standard equipment is found in the front and a 245 mm disc, 1-piston floating calliper with ABS as standard equipment at the rear.
