This Milan-based bike manufacturer was founded in 1971, started their business by making enduro bikes. Their product line up includes enduro, off-road, on-road, supermoto, concept and classic bikes. It is one of the under-rated motorcycle brands, which have the potential to take on some of the world-class two-wheeler brands.

The MotoRoyale, owned by Kinetic Engineering (current MV Agusta suppliers) is planning to bring this Italian beauty to the country. For the initial sales, they are setting the plot around their adventure bike Superdual. They plan to bring this bike as a CKD unit. Superdual is powered by 4-stroke, single cylinder, 600 engine borrowed from Husqvarna TE 630. The mill delivers a maximum power of 56 bhp and peak torque of 53.5 Nm. This bike gets a massive 18-litre fuel tank helping it all adventure touring capabilities. With likes of Kawasaki Versys 650, Benelli TNT 600 GT and the upcoming Suzuki V-Storm 650, Dual Sport would become the perfect alternative to compete with them.

The SWM's arsenal is filled with a range of classic bikes, which could quietly displace the strong Royal Enfield market in India. The 450cc, Gran Turismo and another 450cc Silver Ace (a scrambler) might be the potential players from SWM in future.
