Recently, TVS had partnered with BMW to learn how to manufacture affordable motorcycles but not exceeding the price range. Similar to the KTM-Bajaj duo, BMW has certainly lent a hand and provided support to develop a cost-friendly performance bike. However, the bike developed by TVS and BMW will be offered later. The Apache RTR 200, then, will feature the same 180cc engine, but re-bored to increase capacity, and an effective increase in power. Current power figures stand at 20 bhp, which isn't competitive when looking at the 200cc-300cc segment, although there requires a wait to hear the official word from TVS. A six-speed gearbox also gets featured on the new RTR.

With the new norm of implementing ABS on all bikes being made mandatory, TVS will also be looking to feature ABS in the new flagship model. Expect to see updates from TVS a month prior to launch.
