Honda Livo Caught Testing

To replace CB Twister

The proposed plan by Honda's motorcycle and scooter branch to launch 15 new models this year is making steady progress with 6 being launched of which the new bikes haven't really received any mechanical updates. Targeting the 110-125cc segment will be two motorcycles one of being the Honda Livo.

The Honda Livo is supposedly a replacement for the CB Twister as per media reports. The CB Twister was a product that did not bring much profits for Honda and consequently will be taken off the shelves from Honda's showrooms and instead be replaced by the Honda Livo which was recently caught testing. Honda's CB twister only sold 171 units which is far less than predicted and the bike had its reasons for not being rider friendly. The Livo however is said to be based on the Dream Yuga platform and as observed from the pictures, carries the design concept of the Honda Unicorn.

How the Indian buyer reacts to the changes in design and mechanics remains to be watched out for. There are no further reports regarding the pricing, launch date or the specifications and features that the new Livo might hold. However, it can be expected that the price would remain the same as the outgoing CB Twister.

With the more models to be launched from Honda's proposed line-up, it will be worthwhile to watch how the bikes perform in the market and what sort of offerings that Honda might come up with. Honda's own journey in India has been hassle free and has brought in bikes and scooters that are practical yet affordable.
