Confirmed: Kawasaki to Launch Flagship Bikes, Ninja ZX 14R & ZX 10R in India

The real war starts now.

It has been confirmed that Japanese motorcycle giant, Kawasaki, is planning to introduce its flagship supersport motorcycles- the Ninja ZX 14R and the Ninja ZX 10R in India. The arrival is expected to happen this year itself. However, we are still supposed to wait more to know whether the ABS versions of both bikes will arrive or not. Because, the baby Ninja, Ninja 300 is not available with ABS pack in India.



The launch of these bikes will be a nightmare for Suzuki, Yamaha, and Honda. Well, these Ninja mercenaries are strong and even stronger enough to pull down its opponents' stake. As the Ninja ZX 14R will take the Hayabusa GSX1300R, the Ninja ZX 10R will head down to Honda CBR 1000RR, Yamaha YZF R1, and Suzuki GSX R1000. And it is for sure that these bikes will have to bow before the dashing Ninjas.

The Ninja ZX 10R comes with a 998cc, Liquid-cooled, 4-stroke In-Line Four, DOHC, 16 valves engine, which is coupled with a 6 speed transmission. The one liter mammoth generates a gorgeous power of 200.1PS @ 13,000 rpm and a stunning torque of 112 Nm at 11,500 rpm.

Its comfy level is at its best having wedded with a 43 mm inverted fork with rebound and compression damping, spring preload adjustability and top-out springs, and a Horizontal Back-link with gas-charged shock and top-out spring Compression damping: Stepless, dual-range (high/low-speed) Rebound damping: Stepless Spring preload: Fully adjustable suspension at front and rear respectively.

The Dual semi-floating 310 mm petal discs, 10-button aluminium rotor carrier Caliper: Dual radial-mount, opposed 4-(aluminium) piston at front and a Single 220 mm petal disc Caliper: Single-bore pin-slide, aluminium piston at rear ensures the world class ride.

Meanwhile, the gigantic machine, the Ninja ZX 14R, is installed with a massive heart, 1441cc, Liquid-cooled, 4-stroke In-Line Four, DOHC, 16 valves engine which is capable to deliver an unbeatable peak power of 200 PS at 10,000 rpm and a respectful torque of 162.5 Nm at 7,500 rpm. Its engine is coupled with a 6 speed transmission.

It is equipped with a 43 mm inverted fork with top-out springs Compression damping: 18-way Rebound damping: 15-way Spring preload: Fully adjustable front suspension and a bottom-Link Uni-Trak with gas-charged shock Compression damping: Stepless Rebound damping: Stepless Spring preload: Fully adjustable rear suspension.

While the front brake gets Dual semi-floating 310 mm petal discs Caliper: Dual radial-mount, opposed 4-piston, 4-pad and the rear one goes with Single 250 mm petal disc Caliper: Opposed, twin-piston.
