Addressing the media, Stefan Pierer, the global CEO of KTM said that KTM would be bringing more motorcycles to India. He revealed, "India is a very good market as far as two wheeler sales are concerned. There is a huge scope in this sector. We realize that engines between 180 cc and 200 cc will certainly do some businesses in India."
At present, the only available bike of KTM in India is the 200 Duke. Meanwhile, the company has officially confirmed on its website that the 390 Duke would be launching soon in the country. And the hot news for now is that the Austrian firm is gonna launch either a 180 cc or a 190 cc engine naked machine soon in India.
KTM has huge fan followers in Europe. The company expects that this year's sale will cross 1 lakh units in Europe alone. Mr. Pierer also said that KTM will be starting production works in Bajaj's Pune plant within 3-4 years. With that the gross production in India will reach 1 lakh units per annum. However, Mr. Pierer denied to reveal the sales figure of KTM 200 Duke, so far counted in India.
