Honda Launches Grom and Forza

The Grom is priced $2,999, while the Forza starts at $5,599.

American Honda Motor launched its first motorcycle in the 2014 line-up, the Grom 125. The Grom 125 is a first kinda machine in its class from the American Honda, which is built in Taiwan. The bike will be in sales in the outlets of Honda in the US by August. The machine has been priced at $2,999 (~Rs. 1,66,354). Meanwhile, Honda has also launched a displaced sports scooter, the Forza. The scooter is priced $5,599 (~ Rs. 3,10,576) for Standard and $6,099 (~ Rs. 3,38,006) for a combined ABS version. The Forza will be in Honda showrooms by July.



The 2014 Honda Grom comes with a 124.9cc air-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine. Its engine is coupled with a 4 speed gear transmission. An inverted fork acts for front suspension, while a single shock with steel box-section swingarm powers the rear suspension. Disc brakes with hydraulic dual-piston caliper have been wedded at both ends. The major drawback of the Grom is that the bike has only a 5.5 liters fuel tank, which won't help any rider to make long rides, but to be congested in city rides. The weighs 102 kgs. It is available in both Metallic Black, and Pearl Red colors.

At the same time, the 2014 Forza is equipped with a 279cc liquid-cooled single cylinder four-stroke engine. The machine is run by Honda V-Matic belt-converter continuously variable automatic transmission, which makes rides even better and better for commuting. A telescopic fork and twin shock do the job of suspension at front and rear respectively. Disc brakes with twin-piston caliper with CBS are well packed at both ends for maximum confidence to the motorcyclist. Being equipped with an 11.35 liters fuel tank and ensured with a mileage of 28.91 kmpl, long rides are quiet possible on the Forza. The scooter weighs 191 Kgs. It is available only in pearl red color.
