Could you believe, India exporting bikes to the land of bikes, Japan? Yes, things are revolving in a reverse direction! After mated with KTM Sportmotorcycle AG, Baja Auto Ltd commenced to export Duke 125 to Japan. It's for the first time Bajaj is getting involved in an international business. Some days ago, Hero Motocorp had officially announced that their presence would be in the international markets soon. Concluding all together, it could be read as that the Indian motor giants are in a good potential which would boost the Indian automobile industry.
Realizing the necessity of 125cc bikes, KTM manufactured Duke 125, a sibling to Duke 200. In fact Duke 125s are being built in the Chakan plant, Pune, India. Thus they are purely Indian made machines. Earlier KTM had no bikes in this segment. Bajaj Auto has a stake of 47% in Duke's venture in India.
Definitely, this would be a new milestone for the Indian auto sector as well as for Bajaj Auto. Manufacturing a world class brand and exporting Indian made motors to the kingdom of motorcycles are something ought to be cherished and to be rewarded. Though the company didn't revealed the numbers of bikes which were being exported this year, Bajaj Auto said that it would double its export by the next fiscal year. Baja Auto also has an excellent tie up with Japanese giant, Kawasaki.
