As Honda has taken the wow to become the number one two-wheeler industry in India, the Japanese giant is launching more and more bikes in the India market. This time CRF250L, following the path of CBR150 and Dream Yuga, Honda is in a real hunt with Hero Motocorp, with which the company had an alliance earlier.
Even though the company is yet to officially announce the launch, it's almost sure that Honda CRF250L will be appearing in Indian Market soon. The Honda has started its sales procedures in Japan and will spread it soon to European and US market.
The motorcycle has the same bore and stroke as CBR250R has. The 250cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke DOHC single cylinder engine is mated with 23PS power and 22Nm of torque. The bike weighs only 143kg makes it a perfect one for off-riding. The six speed transmission will ensure less fuel consumption but it will make off-riding tougher.
However, Honda has engineered slight variousnesses comparing CBR250R's engine specifications to maximize fuel economy. The CBR acquires maximum power of 25 bhp and 23 Nm of torque whereas CRF can make it only up to 23 bhp and 23 Nm torque. This results in a better fuel economy of 44kmpl whereas CBR has only 30-35kmpl.
Indian market is just a baby in the off-road motorcycles. As it is only in its growing stage, we are to witness more international brands alike KTM, Husqvarna, Zero, Kawasaki and lot more.
