Many of the foreign companies are looking Indian two wheeler market as a market with amazing possibilities for their products as India is growing day by day. BMW is one among the many companies who have realised Indian market's great size. They are now trying to tap a big profit from India with the launch of their supreme quality products.
They are becoming more and more active in Indian automotive industry through its dealerships, Navnit Motors and Deutsche Motoren. The company has launched the much awaited BMW F650 GS on-off road touring motorcycle in Indian bike market. BMW F650 GS is priced at Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The high price of BMW F650 GS is due to government policies of high import duties of 75 per cent levied on motorcycles and cars imported via completely built unit (CBU) route. The high price directly indicates that the 2012 BMW F650 GS will continue to be a dull seller, not that BMW Motorrad is addressing a huge sales anyway.
The 2012 BMW F650 GS on-off road sportsbike has a heart of 800 cc parallel twin four stroke engine that develops 71 BHP of top power and 76 Nm of peak output torque. The powerful engine of the mean machine is coupled with a six speed manual transmission, which transmits the torque to rear wheel via a chain drive.
