Audi all set to own Ducati

Ducati is been in news for a long period of time after it was put for sale. Ducati, which is one of the world's best company in terms of style and power of their products will now be owned most probably by the Audi group.

Initially, many of the companies including India's Mahindra group were in hunt to own the company. Now, the German car manufacturer Audi (Part of Volkswagen group) will announce acquisition of Ducati in the next week.

Audi also tried to acquire Ducati in 2005 from Texas Pacific Group but then it was acquired by Investindustrial. The potential acquisition will make Volkswagen brand portfolio to twelve including Audi.



The acquisition of Ducati will give Volkswagen group an advantage over BMW's superbikes. It will also give an advantage of Ducati's expertise in high revving, light engines to Volkswagen group.
