Suzuki’s Rs.2000 crores plant coming in Haryana

Suzuki, one among the many companies who has got very good foot hold in Indian market, is in the process of expanding its production and reach. Like Yamaha, Honda etc. Suzuki is a foreign company who has gained a positive impression from the Indian customers.

Suzuki Motorcycles India Ltd (SMIL) is looking to scale up its operations in India which has boisterous two-wheeler market and already the Haryana government has approved a Rs 2,000 crore unit of Suzuki Motorcycles that will come up at Rohtak.



The investment is done as different stages. The first phase of the project will entail an investment of Rs 500 crore and will be completed in 2014 with an annual capacity of 5-lakh units. The total cost of the 3-phase project is estimated to be Rs 2,000 crore, with a capacity of 2 million units by 2019.

Haryana already has some of the major auto investments from Hero Motocorp, Honda and Harley Davidson. The people of Haryana will also gain from this investment made by this Japanese biggie.
