Honda increasing production to meet the growing demand.

Honda who made a historic break up with their long time partner, Indian biggie, Hero MotoCorp is all set to gear up their production to post themselves in a place which is threatening to all other companies in Indian market.

Honda is now facing a shortage of supply to meet its requirements. The second phase of production might rectify this drawback. With the start of operations of second phase, HMSI has invested more than Rs. 1000 crores at the 2nd plant and doubled the annual production capacity of this plant to 1.2 million units.

The second assembly line inaugurated today is flexible to manufacture both scooter and motorcycle models. HMSI will be manufacturing the Activa (110cc), CB Twister (110cc) and CB Shine (125cc) from this plant, in addition to existing Manesar plant. This plant has generated over 3,500 associates at second phase of full capacity.

In order to further realize Honda's vision to provide good products with speed and affordability, Honda's third plant at Bangalore area was earlier announced in September 29, 2011. The third plant is scheduled to become operational in the first half of 2013, with annual production capacity of 1.2 million units.
