India's largest two wheeler producer, Hero MotoCorp has recorded a 7.8 percent increase in their sales in the month of December 2011 compared to December 2010. This clearly shows that the company hasn't lost its grip among the Indians even after its split with Honda.
Hero MotoCorp Ltd has reported that it has sold 540,276 vehicles in December. According to report, Hero MotoCorp, which was re-christened after the exit of Honda in JV Hero Honda has reportedly sold 6,117,599 vehicles in 2011, its most ever for a calendar year.
While it is maintaining its number one spot, rivals Bajaj and TVS and also Honda Motorcycles have been snapping at its heels now snaring up more sales. And because of this tough competition Hero is coming up with new modern two wheelers into the market.
It can be recalled that earlier this year, Hero Investments bought Honda Motor Co's 26 percent stake in Hero Honda Motors and it was later re-named as Hero MotoCorp. Hero standing alone and tall is thus proving they are worth of standing no.1 in India.
