Kawasaki to Refresh Pulsar 200NS

The updated Pulsar 200NS will have Kawasaki logo.

It has been long years since Bajaj Auto has tied-up with the Japanese speed monster, Kawasaki. Since then both companies have been enjoying benefits from each other. As we all know, Bajaj Auto is the one and only authorized dealer of Kawasaki in India. It is only through the Pro-biking showrooms of Bajaj, Kawasaki is selling out their motorcycles in India, Ninja 300 and Ninja 650R. Earlier, Bajaj had introduced many bikes in the country with the technical help of Kawasaki. Some of them were massive hits too.

Moreover, the Indian motorcycle manufacturer had forayed into some numerable foreign markets with the collaboration of Kawasaki. Recently, Bajaj tried to settle down in the Indonesian motorcycle industry. However, the company failed to complete the procedures. So the firm thought about its Japanese companion, and progressed to Indonesia with its help. It is expected that the Pulsar 200NS will be sold through the stores of Kawasaki, which is just like how Kawasaki motorcycles are sold via Bajaj outlets in India.

Bajaj Pulsar 200NS

Well, it won't be the same Pulsar 200NS that will appear in the Indonesian market. Kawasaki will be slightly upgrading the motorcycle in its way to attract the locals. More interestingly, the Pulsar 200NS will have the Kawasaki logo instead of Bajaj's. This will certainly improve the brand value of the bike and will tempt many riders to the store. Additionally, Kawasaki may tune-up the engine for better performance and the new Pulsar 200NS is supposed to be equipped with fuel injection technology in order to increase the fuel efficiency of the bike. The Pulsar 200NS will be rivalling with the best selling bi-wheeler in this class, Yamaha V-Ixion.

However, it is yet to be confirmed whether the customized Pulsar 200NS by Kawasaki will launch in India or not. It has been rumoured that Bajaj might launch the customized 200NS as limited edition in the country at a higher price tag.

The Pulsar 200NS comes with a 199.5cc, Type SOHC - 4V - Liquid Cooled engine. It is capable to produce maximum power of 23.52 PS @ 9500 rpm and maximum torque of 18.3 Nm @ 8000 rpm. Its engine is mated with a 6 speed gear transmission. The Pulsar 200NS is the first bike in the world with 4-valve triple spark engine. So high is the scope of Bajaj while entering to the Indonesian motorcycle market.
