Here comes the final whistle regarding the schedule of the 2013 FIM World Superbike Championship (WSBC). Shutting down all the nervous and rumours, the FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme or International Motorcycling Federation) released the final and the latest provisional calendar of the 2013 World Superbike Championship. According to the most previous program, it displays that the race in the Indian track has been rescheduled to November 17 at the Buddh International Circuit, New Delhi. Earlier, it was timetabled to be on 10th of March.
With some experiences of a couple of Formula One races, the Buddh International Circuit is more than prepared to host the ever first Superbike Championship in the Indian continent. More interestingly, the Buddh International Circuit would have had one more international event by that time when the debut WSBC gets blossomed here, since the third Formula One is scheduled for the 27th of October.
The postponement of the racing event from being the second race to being the season finale will gift the Indian officilals to make the final act the most centrefold. Also, it will be much helpful to bring more superbike enthusiasts to get fastened at the Buddh circuit. However, there is no rearrangement in the chart of FIM officials. They will be visiting and examining the Buddh International circuit on January 19, 20 and 21 as scheduled early.
"The World Superbike race in India has been moved from the 10 March to the 17 November due to an insufficient period of time to properly finalise the training of the marshals and medical staff around the racetrack. FIM representatives will be at the Indian track on 19, 20 and 21 this January, in order to carry out the final racetrack homologation and provide the relevant seminars about the different aspects involved in the sporting organisation of the event," a statement released by the FIM noticed while updating the 2013 provisional calendar.
Furthermore, the reschedule of the India round will cause more financial burden than the previously scheduled one. Earlier, the bikes and equipments would have shipped from Phillip Island, Australia to New Delhi and then from Buddh Circuit to Aragon, Spain. Stopping in between Australia and Europe was niggling. But, now stuffs have to be shipped back from Europe to India. It is expected to massively cost.
The Indian round at Buddh International Circuit is rescheduled from March 10 to November 17. It is the final race of the season 2013.
