Feel heat and get ready to throttle your adventuring dreams to further extends. Here you have a great news that the 2014 Suzuki V-Storm 1000 is a true story. Disclosing the technical specifications and features of the respected machine, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer confirmed the arrival of its flagship adventure tourer.
The 2014 V-Storm 1000 is out of the garage with a bunch of new and added features. It comes with an all new 1037cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 90˚ V-twin engine replacing the old less powerful 996cc heart. And the new heart is capable to deliver a whooping power of 98.6 bhp @ 8000 rpm and a gorgeous torque of 103 nm @ 4000 rpm.
The fuel system goes fuel injected. Meanwhile, the 6 speed transmission gets few modifications with new gear ratios and the Suzuki Clutch Assist System coupled with it come blended to make the bike further accessible. The 2014 edition is 8 kg lighter than its predecessor and thus offers 21 kmpl mileage. Having a massive 20 litre gas tank, you could make it even 420 kms in a single filled tank.
The designers have done a great job here in moulding out a true adventure bi-wheeler. The new beaked front portion is such an impressive stuff as the twin symmetrical headlights get crowned by an adjustable windscreen.
A twin-spar aluminum-alloy frame is the base of the machine that holds it in such a structure and ensures stability when the wheels are rolled even at high speeds. It is the first Suzuki motorcycle to be equipped with a switchable traction control with two riding modes. At the same time, ABS is standard over the Tokico four-piston monobloc caliper mounted over the twin 310 mm front discs with a single-piston caliper on the 260 mm rear disc.
As the Inverted telescopic with coil spring and oil damped takes the front suspension, the rear is procured by Link type with coil spring and oil damped.
Standard ABS, switchable traction control with two riding modes, new 1037 V-twin heart, 21 kmpl, and even more are about the all new 2014 V-Storm 1000.
