Terra A4000i, the World's First Smartphone Equipped Electric Scooter

It is connected to Apple iPhone.

The world has changed a lot. It's not the same man and the technology we are using now, which were used years ago. Today the world is right on to the wave of smartphones. Smartphones are never a simple stuff for the present generation. It means a lot. In fact, it is a compressed world that hold almost everything in a finger tip. Well, what if a smartphone guides our transportation facilities?



Japanese electric scooter manufacturer, Terra Motors Corporation has recently launched an electric scooter, the A4000i, which is connected to iPhone that is placed on its dashboard, but just below the instrument meter console. It works only with iPhone models ranging the 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S, and the 5. It is also the first electric scooter in the world to be embedded with smartphone. At present, Apple iPhone can only be connected to it. The company has told that later it will be featuring option for other smartphones as well.

Terra A4000i

Being connected to the iPhone, the rider can know useful things such as battery status, consumption rate, GPS navigation and other stuffs at a glance. It is capable of storing data on a cloud database.

Powered by a removable lithium 48V40Ah battery, the machine develops maximum output just below 1000W. The top speed of the A4000i is 65 kmph. The maximum range of the scooter with a single charge is 65 km. It needs around 4.5 hours to fully charge the scooter. Its lifetime is 50,000 kms.

Terra A4000i

Being crafted in Japanese technology, the scooter is world class. It's reliable and worth for money as well. Disc brakes are offered on each wheels to bring in more confidence to the rider. While the front tyre is of 120/70-12inch, the rear gets a 130/60-13inch tyre.

The A4000i is available in India, Philippines, and Vietnam. However, the official price in India is uncertain. Still, it has been priced at ¥450,000 (Rs. 2.71 lakhs).
