Nissan Unveils Updated Micra

The all new facelifted Micra comes with a lot newness in exteriors and interiors.

Japanese automobile giant Nissan unveiled the facelifted version of Micra for European markets. The new model is expected to hit Indian market this year. Nissan has done a great job with the all new altered machine. It's ain't a mere modification, but a total overhaul has been taken place here with the four-wheeler. That is from the very front to the very end of the car, you can see difference from the previous version. The change over is never limited to the exteriors, but the interiors have also got very interesting newness as well.



The exterior changes are comprised of a new grille, bonnet, bumper, headlights and fog lights, LED rear lights, revised tailgate trim and a redesigned bumper. Nissan has also equipped a newly designed alloy wheel to pin up the wheels. Moreover, adding more colors to the Micra range, the firm completely makes this facelift a festival.

The updated car seems better in quality than the previous edition. Along with it, interiors now get a brand new aggressive Piano Black theme.

Thanks to the new strategy, now ABS and iKey are offered from the mid variant onwards. Above all, the updated Micra is in X-Tronic CVT gearbox version, which is seen in both the Scala and the Sunny.

Altogether, the Micra is available in 7 options: XL, XL (O), XV CVT (petrol versions), XL, XL (O), XV, and XV P (diesel versions).

2013 Nissan Micra

It is the same engine Nissan has coupled in both petrol and diesel versions. In petrol variant, the Micra comes with a 1198cc, DOHC 12 Valve 3 Cyl engine. It delivers gorgeous power of 76 Ps @ 6000 Rpm and stunning torque of 104 Nm @ 4000 Rpm. Its engine is coupled with a 5 speed manual gear transmission. While the Micra XV CVT delivers 77 Ps of maximum power @ 6000 Rpm and has an automatic gearbox.

Concurrently, the diesel variants are coupled with a 1461cc, SOHC 16 Valve 4 Cyl engine. Pumping a maximum power of 64 Ps @ 4000 Rpm and maximum torque of 160 Nm @ 2000 Rpm, Nissan ensures a better experience for those are looking for a diesel hatchback.

The Micra is equipped with a ventilated front disc brake and drum rear brake for better stopping. Having wedded with McPherson strut front axle suspension, and Torsion beam rear axle suspension, need not to worry about the comfort the machine offers.
