First Impression Review

Triumph Tiger 800 XR is one of the most affordable, stylish and the most versatile off-roading machine one could have on a very low budget. Triumph has made the Tiger 800 XR be what a real off-road bike should give without any much-crowded features. The Tiger 800 XR looks very premium and Triumph has updated the chassis, windshields, and entire design aspects of the bike to make it more superior in build quality and performance. The chassis is made stiffer and beefier to undertake any mountainous roads and valleys with utmost confidence.

An 800cc Liquid-cooled, 12 valves, DOHC, in-line 3-cylinder engine sits on the heart of this Triumph Tiger. The engine produces a maximum power of 94 BHP (70 kW) @ 9.250 rpm and a maximum torque of 79 Nm @ 7,850 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

A Tubular steel trellis frame forms the backbone of the Triumph Tiger 800 XR and the suspension setup of the bike is done with Showa 43 mm upside down forks, 180 mm travel at the front and a Showa monoshock with hydraulically adjustable preload, with 170 mm rear wheel travel is at the rear. The braking system of the bike is done with Twin 308 mm floating discs, Nissin 2-piston sliding calipers with switchable ABS at the front while the rear suspension is done with a Single 255 mm disc, Nissin single piston sliding caliper with Switchable ABS. The Tiger has a very good fuel tank of 19 L and this gives a very good range of riding without constant refuel. Thre overall weight of the bike is 199 Kg.
