The Suzuki GSX-R1000R is a sports bike from the Japanese maker Suzuki. The GSX-R series of motorcycles has been ruling the track and roads for a long time and the GSX-R1000 joined the family in 2001.The first GSX-R1000 was powered by a 4-stroke, liquid-cooled 999 cc inline four-cylinder engine and was equipped with a much-reconstructed engine of the younger sibling GSX-R750 and the newly overhauled engine produced a 143 bhp at 9,500 rpm and 110 Nm at 8,000 rpm.
The new 2017 model of the GSX-R1000R consists of a new 999.8cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, 4-cylinder, DOHC engine and produces 202 bhp at 13,200 rpm and 117.5 Nm of torque at 8000 rpm and the engine is mated to a 6-speed, constant mesh, cassette-style gearbox. The inclusion of advanced rider aids such as the IMU-influenced Motion Track, Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS), clutchless up-and-down quick shifting, lightweight upper fork clamp and Ride-by-Wire Throttle Bodies makes this one of the most versatile sports bike ever produced in the world.
