Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber

Complete details of V9 Bobber Motorcycle

Launched in India in October 2016.

V9 Bobber is the aggressive version of Roamer. It shares all the technical specifications with the other V9 sibling. The shorter saddle shows the mudguard and the high-walled tyres underline the grit of a true Robber. The same 853 cc engine with all the features like power, torque, cooling and other attributes like transmission, clutch, braking, suspension and instrument console are similar to the Roamer.

Matt finish fuel tank, matt black dragbar handlebar and brushed black exhaust shows the masculine character of this motorcycle. Apart from this, short sports saddle on the short rear mudguard gives a retro style appearance to the Bobber and this alone separates the character of Bobber from Roamer.

First Impression Review

The V9 Bobber is by far one of the few motorcycles that evoke the concepts of pure design and fine lines in a superior package. The V9 Bobber has a serious look, that aligns with the personality of the serious riders. Covered under the original sporting content, underlined by a total matt black look. The V9 Bobber clearly represents Moto Guzzi's custom sports bike in the mid-size bobber series segment and also take the appearance of the bobbers in the United States after World War II.

The oversized tyres, yellow or matt red details with pitch matte black stylish, the exhaust unit, mirrors and both metal mudguards are painted in “dark matt” contribution to the minimal look of the V9 Bobber. The V9 Bobber keeps the tradition of bearing only the essentials, for the Bobbers are always known for.

The V9 Bobber has an 850cc e unit capable of producing 62 Nm of torque at just 3,000 rpm, with a maximum power of 55 HP at 6,250 rpm. The engine is designed so as to achieve high levels of torque even at low rpms. The chassis used in the V9 Bobber is an ALS steel twin tube cradle frame. Moto Guzzi has made the engine to be very refined and gives out a large amount of torque even at very low rpms, this will helps riders to swift pass the heavy traffic and fast lanes with much agility and control.

The front suspension used is a traditional fork, Ø 40 mm, while the rear suspension is a swingarm with double shock absorber with adjustable spring preload. Suspension duties are good for occasional long rides and short rides and this Guzzi has all that it takes to be on the friendlier side of riders, be any terrain, whatsoever with its suspension setup. The front brakes of the bike are done with stainless steel floating disc, Ø 320 mm Brembo opposed four-piston callipers while the rear brakes are done with stainless steel floating disc, Ø 260 mm opposed two-piston callipers. The wheels are made of aluminium alloy. The V9 Bobber has a fuel capacity of 15 litres and has an overall weight of 199 Kg.
