The big frame is made to give the R 1200 GS a very stable and optimum riding dynamics and off-road capability. The suspension setup of the bike done with BMW Motorrad Telelever; stanchion diameter 37 mm, central spring strut as the front suspension while the rear suspension setup comes with Cast aluminium single-sided swing arm with BMW Motorrad Paralever; WAD strut (travel-related damping), spring pre-load hydraulically adjustable (continuously variable).
