Hero Honda is a leading Indian motorcycle manufacturer situated in New Delhi, India. They are mainly concentrating on two-wheelers, scooters, three-wheeler vehicles and spare parts. The founder of Hero Group is Brijmohan Lall Munjal. The Munjal brothers Brijmohan Lall Munjal and Pawan Munjal kept the name "Hero Cycles Ltd." to their company and used 'Hero' as their brand name in 1956.

Hero Group stands out in producing large number of two-wheelers in the Indian market. Consequently, they gained the first position in the Indian two-wheeler manufacturing in 1975. During the 1980s, Hero Group became popular in India for their high fuel efficiency, ease in maintenance and affordable nature. Subsequently, it paved the way to great success of company.

In 1983, Hero Cycles Ltd. signed a joint collaboration agreement with Honda Motors Co. Ltd.. Hero Honda Motors Ltd. was formed in 1984. Both Hero group and Honda group had 26% stake in the company. In 2010, Hero Honda Group determined to cease the joint venture between Hero Group of India and Honda Group of Japan in a unison way. Thereafter Hero Group regained the 26% share from Honda Group. The main reason behind the split-up was Hero alone cannot hold up within the joint venture. The termination after 26 years led to growth in sales through international export marketing. Under the joint venture Hero Group was not able to export to International markets except Srilanka.

After the split, Hero Group assigned a new identity, Hero 'MotoCorp' in 2010. Hero MotoCorp has a successful sales and service network all over the world. They are exporting their new models to Latin America, Africa and West Asia now.

Hero Honda had ranked 13th position among the brands in India by 'The Brand Trust Report'. One of the most respected companies in the world 'Forbes' ranked Hero Honda in the 108th position. Forbes is a leading American publishing and media company.

In 2011, Hero and Honda signed a new licensing agreement for adapting the Japanese technology to India and for the future products till 2014. The latest version of Hero Honda bikes are:
