Being the first indian origin off-road motorcycle, the Himalayan did catch the attention of many motorcycle enthusiasts and riders in the nation. Despite being a first of a kind bread, Himalayan was also met with much criticism for its poor production and build quality by many and Royal Enfiled was fixing things up for a while.

Now, the Himalayan is getting a fuel injection technology along with the 411 cc Single Cylinder, 4 strokes, Air cooled, SOHC engine. The new units in production will cover the faults existed in the older ones but the much wanted ABS feature will not be coming to this bike. Even though the international version of Himalayan has FI and ABS, the company will only push Himalayan units with FI as of now, and the ABS variants will take time some time to reach in India.
