The Cromwell 1200, Brixton's flagship model, has often been compared to the Triumph Bonneville due to its strikingly similar design. However, the newly introduced Cromwell 1200 X aims to set itself apart. Featuring longer suspension, robust tires, and a more relaxed seating arrangement, this bike is designed for those who want a bit more versatility in their rides.
The Cromwell 1200 X sports a scrambler-style look, emphasizing its capability to handle not just smooth roads but also light off-road conditions. While it doesn't match the off-road prowess of Triumph's Scrambler 1200 range, it does offer a unique blend of style and function. Additional features like a small flyscreen and fork gaiters contribute to its rugged appearance.

The Cromwell 1200 X is powered by a 1,222cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, parallel-twin engine. With 83 horsepower and 108 Newton-meters of torque, the bike promises a strong performance, particularly at lower revs. A six-speed manual transmission channels the power to the rear wheel, while KYB hardware takes care of the suspension. Braking is managed by dual 310-millimeter front brakes and a single 260-millimeter rear disc brake.
The Cromwell 1200 X will initially be available in the Italian market, sporting a single cream color option. The bike is priced at 11,749 Euros, roughly translating to $12,339 USD.

With the introduction of the Cromwell 1204 X, Brixton is clearly aiming to diversify its portfolio and appeal to a broader range of motorcycle enthusiasts. While it may not completely shake off its reputation as a Triumph Bonneville lookalike, the new features and capabilities of the Cromwell 1200 X make it a compelling option for those in search of a versatile, budget-friendly bike.
