Launched in India in 1997. Street is not in production now.
Hero Honda Street is known as the first utility bike of Hero Honda. The Street that was shaped like a scooter was unveiled in 1997. It was the Indian version of Japanese motorcycle manufacturer, Honda's Cub Series. It was mix up of scooter and bike. The bike which is not in production now was coupled with a 97.2cc, 4 - stroke, air cooled engine. It produced max power of 6.5 bhp @ 8000 rpm.
The product couldn't impress the riders in India. Moreover, the M80 from Bajaj put up a strong competition. The marketing was also poor. Eventually, Hero Honda (now Hero MotoCorp) had to discontinue the bike.
