Which bike to purchase HONDA CB SHINE 125 or new model of BAJAJ DISCOVER 125 ST

I want to purchase bike in next 10 to 12 days. I am bit confused in 2 bikes, whether to buy HONDA CB SHINE 125 or go for new model of BAJAJ DISCOVER 125 ST. I want to have125 CC bike as average also matters.
Discover 125 ST engine has 4 Valve Twin Spark Air Cooled and its Max Net Power 13 Ps @ 9000 rpm, wheels are also broad compared to Honda Shine.
Honda Shine is 4 Stroke engine and its Net Power is 7.55 KW (10.55 bhp) @ 7500 rpm
Both price is almost same, there is no vast difference.
Honda Shine is good on road and gives good mileage and it is a successful bike. As discover 125 ST is newly launched bike, can anyone plz help me in this concern that what mileage it gives on road. I also came to know that Discover 125 st engine is more powerful that Honda Shine. Plz guide me in this concern, which bike to purchase.

Please let me know how much mileage Bajaj Discover 125 ST gives as it is new bike ?

Hi Vishal,

I haven't driven Discover 125 or Shine. But let me tell you one thing. Bajaj motorcycle's quality is far inferior to that of Honda bikes quality. Mileage doen't matter the most. After riding for some years, you can hear sounds coming from almost all parts of Bajaj bikes. Think about maintanance, servicing and all other aspects. My vote for Honda.

Bajaj is always known for its economical bikes and so does the Discover 125 ST. Though Bajaj offers a mileage between 65 and 70 kmpl under standard conditions, an economy of 60 kmpl is probable. Meanwhile, Honda offers only 65 kmpl for the Shine and a mileage of 58-60 kmpl would only be gettable.
However, Honda is known for its excellent quality and so does in the Shine. It has good resale value, whereas Bajaj doesn't have.
My Verdict
Bajaj Discover 125 ST is better than Honda Shine except the quality, brand value and resale value.
Discover looks better, more powerful, provides better riding comfy with its mono-shock suspension. It has digital meter too. Whereas, Honda Shine stands out only in quality, brand value and resale value.
Now decide yourself.

Honda shine is one of the best bike ever .... Pickup launching is very power full...

Shine is fuss bike aginst discover's power .if you ride shine ,you do not feel you ride a 125 cc bike ,cold starting issues .so go with bajaj discover .
