Royal Enfield is always for royal people.
I am guesing you probably have made a choice by now, however if not then read on....
talking about making a choice between the avenger 220 and the Tbird is a difficult one. Both the biles are very good good and have their respective pros ans cons. I have ridden them both for a long distances and can tell you one thing for sure. Both of them are a joy to ride. Now coming to your answer. Let's talk about the Tbird first. This bike has a very good engine with loads od torque which helps in the pulling factor. You can cruise between 70 - 100 very easily and the thump of the engine is obvisouly "different". Being said that in higer speed i.e 100 and above you do have some serious vibrations and the braking is not really to the point. Never the less, this is one of the best bikes around.
Now talking about the avenger 220, this does not come anywhere near to the Tbird in terms of the engine size and out put, agreed that the bhp output is a wee bit more than the Tbird350, however the torque is nowhere near. With that being said, the bike is a lot smoother as compared to the Tbird, cruising at 70 - 100 is no big a deal for this bike (this being a lot easier to ride as well!. In terms of pickup I believe this is at par with the Tbird. However the icing on this bike is that seating posture is awesome, you can closck a 100km journey and not have a butt ache :) but on the Tbird you need breaks. Overall as compared to the Tbird this is a lot refined engine and in certain aspects better, for ex. does not leak oil, is oil cooled so no worries about over heating as well.
All in all both the bikes are good and it all depens on you! Tbird a macho bike and a different breed altogether and the Avenger a smooth bike with much better performace as compared to other bikes on road and extremely economical as well!
