Hi, its better to go for the Honda Shine with reliable 124.7cc, Air-cooled, 4-stroke, single cylinder, digital CDi engine with 10.3 hp @ 7500 rpm of power and has 11 Nm @ 5500 rpm of torque. The bike has mileage of around 58 to 65 kmpl depending upon the riding conditions and style. Honda Shine is regarded as the best 125cc bike in India with reliable engine and quality body parts and has good comfort in riding and handling. Bajaj and Tvs bikes lacks engine reliability and has shorter life span and are not consistent performance bikes. So at any cost go for Honda Shine.

I am thinking of yamaha SS125 also. confused between honda shine and SS125. Can you guys please suggest which is good one ? Read reviews of both the bikes and there is a concern that shine vibrates above 60 km/hr. Is this true ?

I have both Honda Shine and Gladiator SS 125 at my home. For a commuter bike, Honda Shine is the best considering Honda's quality, excellent engines, very high resale value, mileage, etc. But if you want to forget all above things and just enjoy your ride, then go for Gladiator SS125. As someone mentioned above, Shine vibrates after 60kmph and you won't have confidence driving at high speed on it as it is a very light-weight bike. But on SS125, even on 80 kmph, you feel very comfortable and confident.
But Shine is having best low end torque, which is very useful in heavy traffic conditions and low speeds. So, i suggest for more of city driving, go for Shine and for more of highways, go for Gladiator. Remember that Gladiator's mileage and resale value is poor compared to Shine.
